Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with CA labor regulations
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor relationships
- Assist with tax preparation documentation and year-end audits
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with tech startups
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel
- CPA certification or equivalent accounting degree preferred
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios
- Deep knowledge of CA sales tax regulations and payroll requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills for client interactions
- Experience with Xero and FreshBooks a plus
