Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable/receivable processes including vendor management and collections
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss analyses
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for operational efficiency
- Conduct internal audits and support external examinations
- Collaborate with senior leadership on budget forecasting and financial strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and advanced Excel functions
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance standards
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies
- Strong communication skills for client/stakeholder reporting
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AAP) highly valued
