Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and KPI reporting
- Maintain accurate QuickBooks Online databases and implement process improvements
- Coordinate tax compliance and documentation for multi-state entities
- Lead month-end closing procedures and audit preparation
- Develop financial models and forecasting for business planning
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
- Collaborate with CFO on strategic financial initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Advanced Excel proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting systems
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations (CA & federal)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
