Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 10-15 client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with NY state regulations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial processes
- Collaborate with tax department for quarterly filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and ERP systems
- CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of GAAP and NY tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
