Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable with strict attention to deadlines
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for client reviews
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and improve accounting systems for efficiency
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits and tax season
- Maintain organized financial documentation in compliance with GAAP
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of full-time bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and tax regulations
- Proven experience with multi-client accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) is a plus
