Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small to medium-sized businesses
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations (CA Sales Tax, payroll taxes)
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks/Xero accounting systems
- Support annual audits and tax preparation processes
- Analyze financial trends and provide actionable insights to clients
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and CA tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification required
- Experience with multi-currency transactions and payroll systems
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
