Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ client portfolios including A/P, A/R, and payroll processing
- Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements with detailed variance analysis
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Utilize QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel to automate financial processes
- Collaborate with tax preparation teams during audit seasons
- Train junior bookkeepers on best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/ACBSP preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Xero and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of managing complex reconciliations and financial reporting
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, payroll tax regulations, and sales tax compliance
- Ability to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, Certified Bookkeeper) strongly preferred
