Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for management review
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for all financial transactions
- Collaborate with tax preparation team to provide year-end financial documentation
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for efficiency improvements
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial procedures and software applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with full-cycle responsibilities
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales tax compliance and multi-state reporting
- Experience with construction or service industry accounting a strong plus
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor, CB) highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
