Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and Illinois state regulations
- Assist with audits and tax documentation preparation
- Implement process improvements for financial workflows
- Collaborate with leadership on budget forecasting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping in Illinois
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel Advanced
- Strong knowledge of sales tax and payroll regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
