Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and monthly reconciliations for 50+ client portfolios
- Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes with strict adherence to deadlines
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for multi-state operations
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial data integrity
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Lead month-end closing procedures with zero tolerance for errors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions
- Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation required
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll systems and sales tax compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated error prevention track record
- Strong analytical skills for variance analysis and financial trend identification
- Excellent communication abilities for client-facing financial reporting
