Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile client accounts using QuickBooks Online and desktop versions
- Process complex payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end closing procedures
- Prepare financial statements, profit/loss reports, and tax documentation packages
- Implement internal controls and process improvements for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with CPAs on audit preparation and compliance documentation
- Manage client relationships through regular financial reviews and strategic consultations
- Maintain organized digital filing systems and ensure SOX compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- Proven track record in reconciling complex multi-entity accounts
- Familiarity with sales tax filing across multiple states
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, QuickBooks ProAdvisor) preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with error rates under 0.5%
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
