Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 10-15 clients
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) and month-end closing reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for all client accounts
- Implement and improve accounting systems using QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly and annual filings
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support client business decisions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- CPA or QuickBooks certification strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of GAAP principles and tax compliance requirements
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
