Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets monthly
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow)
- Process accounts payable/receivable and payroll coordination
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with tax professionals for quarterly/year-end filings
- Generate custom financial reports for client decision-making
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent certification (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
- Expertise in month-end closing procedures and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Strong understanding of sales tax compliance (Texas-specific knowledge a plus)
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and client relationships
- Experience with nonprofit and for-profit bookkeeping a bonus
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly valued
