Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and the preparation of tax schedules.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to manage financial data and generate reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Pro/Online preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
