Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles
- Prepare financial statements and assist with tax documentation
- Implement and improve accounting systems using QuickBooks Online
- Conduct financial audits and ensure GAAP compliance
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and analysis
- Train junior accounting staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in a professional services firm
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation a plus
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing
