Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial statement preparation to ensure data integrity.
- Process payroll for all employees in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and financial audits.
- Maintain and organize general ledger accounts, including month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Xero accounting software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) or Associate in Accounting and Finance (AASF) certification is a major plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot errors before they impact financial reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
