Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank transactions accurately
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations while managing tax filings
- Implement and improve accounting systems using QuickBooks Online/Xero
- Conduct internal audits and support external CPA reviews
- Provide financial insights to guide business decision-making
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Xero and Microsoft Excel
- Proven track record of reconciling complex accounts
- Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Exceptional analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
