Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for diverse client portfolios
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for nonprofit entities
- Manage bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures
- Oversee sales tax filings and quarterly 941/940 tax submissions
- Collaborate with CFOs to develop strategic financial forecasting models
- Implement QuickBooks and Xero optimizations for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience with nonprofit organizations
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel
- Proven ability to manage multi-entity bookkeeping systems
- Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting (FASB 117/958)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
