What You Will Do
As our Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the full-cycle bookkeeping operations. You will work closely with our finance team to provide insights that drive business decisions. Your expertise will ensure our financial reporting is not only compliant but also a true reflection of our company's performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile all bank accounts and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and audit preparations.
- Reconcile vendor statements and manage vendor relationships to resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the management team to forecast budgets, cash flow, and financial trends.
- Assist with tax preparation filings and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks Online, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve them proactively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work.
