You'll be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and optimizing cash flow for diverse industries including tech, real estate, and professional services.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end closing procedures
- Prepare financial statements, tax documents, and management reports
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial processes
- Collaborate with auditors and tax professionals during reviews
- Optimize cash flow management and expense tracking systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in a NYC-based firm
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software
- Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Deep understanding of GAAP and NYC tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with zero tolerance for errors
