In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial records of our clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. You will be the backbone of our accounting department, handling complex reconciliations and financial analysis.
What You'll Do:
- Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage the entire bookkeeping process, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) and variance analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the processing of payroll and preparation of quarterly tax filings.
- Software Management: Maintain and update client records in our accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero).

Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy in all records.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger adjustments.
- Prepare and review financial reports for management review.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks efficiently.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
- Communicate with clients regarding account status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
