Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and supporting schedules
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and month-end closing procedures
- Oversee sales tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance for Virginia operations
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and implement process improvements
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel for financial reporting and analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-entity operations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven expertise in month-end closing and financial statement preparation
- Strong understanding of sales tax regulations and payroll processing
- Exceptional attention to detail with analytical problem-solving abilities
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AAP) highly desirable
