Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and process payroll for multiple clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and Texas state tax requirements
- Implement and optimize bookkeeping systems using QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Conduct internal audits and provide financial insights for strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with CPAs and tax professionals during audits and tax seasons
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven track record of month-end closing and financial reporting accuracy
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and Texas tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
