Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow operations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for all client accounts
- Coordinate with tax preparers and auditors during annual reviews
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for efficiency
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero material discrepancies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a professional setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred
- Deep understanding of accrual accounting principles and reconciliations
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and sales tax compliance
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions
