Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow optimization
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for multi-state operations
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial data security
- Collaborate with auditors during annual compliance reviews
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel for advanced reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years experience in full-cycle bookkeeping for regulated entities
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (advanced functions)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and government/non-profit accounting standards
- Proven track record of managing month-end/year-end closing processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify financial discrepancies
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation or equivalent experience
