Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll records
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses for client portfolios
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions monthly
- Manage sales tax filings and compliance reporting for Louisiana businesses
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits and tax season
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks and Xero accounting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and Louisiana tax regulations
- Strong attention to detail with 10-key typing proficiency
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Proven experience with financial statement preparation
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation preferred
