Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and process payroll
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and NYC tax regulations
- Assist with month-end closing processes and audits
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience in NYC market
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation preferred
- Strong knowledge of NY state tax requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with multi-currency transactions a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
