Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll transactions and maintain employee timekeeping records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax documents.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial data is up-to-date.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
