Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small to mid-sized businesses
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, P&L reports, and cash flow analyses
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks Online
- Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania state tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly reviews and year-end audits
- Maintain organized digital filing systems and document retention protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios in PA
- Strong understanding of Pennsylvania sales tax and payroll regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero)
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
