Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for clients
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings for small to medium businesses
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and improve accounting systems and internal controls
- Provide exceptional client support and financial consultation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in Texas
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Expertise in payroll processing and sales tax filings
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Texas tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios
