Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for diverse client portfolios
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely tax filings (federal/state)
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits and tax season
- Maintain strict compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- Proven track record of managing complex payroll systems
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with error reconciliation skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
