Responsibilities
- Manage multi-client accounting systems including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis for executive review
- Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Coordinate tax preparation processes and maintain organized financial documentation
- Implement process improvements for financial reporting efficiency
- Train junior staff on accounting software and financial procedures
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and compliance checks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience with 5+ years in professional bookkeeping
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing and sales tax compliance
- CPA or Certified Bookkeeper designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with error reconciliation skills
- Strong analytical abilities for financial trend interpretation
- Excellent communication skills for client relationship management
- Experience with financial reporting software (e.g., Xero, Sage)
