Your Role
In this role, you will manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process for a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from small businesses to mid-sized corporations. You will ensure accurate financial reporting and provide strategic insights to management.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial close procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including adjusting entries.
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial statement preparation.
- Process payroll and manage tax filings (941, State, Local) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage) to manage financial data.
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve discrepancies and provide financial reports.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
