Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients using QuickBooks Online and Desktop
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial data integrity
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly audits and tax season
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to client stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Familiarity with sales tax filing (BOE, FTB)
- Certification (QB ProAdvisor, AAP, or similar) preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for client interactions
