Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow operations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations for NYC-based clients
- Oversee payroll processing and tax filings
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in NYC
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar designation preferred
- Proven ability to manage multi-client portfolios
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
