Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and revenue is accurately recorded.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing for a small team, ensuring tax compliance and accurate compensation.
- Software Management: Maintain and update accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) with the highest level of accuracy.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Pro and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
