Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex multi-currency ledgers
- Prepare monthly financial statements for 15+ SME clients
- Manage VAT returns and HMRC compliance documentation
- Oversee payroll processing using Sage 50 software
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis
- Implement Xero cloud accounting solutions
- Train junior bookkeepers on UK accounting standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years UK bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of UK tax legislation (Corporation Tax, PAYE)
- Xero/Sage 50 certification preferred
- Proven experience with multi-currency transactions
- Strong attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors
