Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile accounts monthly
- Process complex multi-currency transactions and bank reconciliations
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance
- Generate management accounts and financial performance reports
- Manage payroll processing for 50+ employees
- Implement and optimize accounting workflows using Xero/QuickBooks
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- 3+ years UK bookkeeping experience with VAT/payroll exposure
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent accounting qualification
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VBA
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage software
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and tax regulations
- CIPD or payroll certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
