We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in London. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring they are posted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual VAT returns and year-end accounts.
- Process payroll and manage employee expenses within the company.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for clients and internal reporting.
- Ensure compliance with current financial legislation and internal company policies.
Qualifications
- AAT Level 4 qualification (ACCA/CIMA qualified is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax legislation, including VAT and Corporation Tax.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
