Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping processes for 15+ SME clients
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management accounts
- Oversee payroll processing and VAT submissions
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Implement and maintain Xero accounting systems
- Assist with year-end audits and tax compliance
- Train junior staff on financial protocols
- Develop client financial improvement strategies
Qualifications
- Level 3+ AAT or equivalent accounting qualification
- Minimum 3 years' UK bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in Xero and Excel
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Client relationship management experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
