Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable/receivable for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for 25+ employees
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure financial accuracy
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel to optimize financial workflows
- Provide financial analysis and insights to guide strategic business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in a professional services environment
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep knowledge of GAAP principles and Maryland tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multi-client portfolios with competing deadlines
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation or equivalent experience
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to microscopic detail
- Strong communication abilities for client-facing financial consultations
