- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy across multiple payers
- Manage accounts receivable aging and resolve complex payment discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance billing regulations
- Conduct regular audits of billing codes (CPT/ICD-10) for optimal reimbursement
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services accurately
- Generate monthly billing reports and financial analytics for leadership
- Train junior staff on billing processes and compliance protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing modules
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance guidelines
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and billing software (e.g., Lytec, Medisoft)
- Experience with RCM cycle management and denial resolution
