Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient account reconciliation
- Generate monthly reports on accounts receivable and aging reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding and documentation
- Conduct audits to identify billing errors and implement corrective actions
- Manage patient payment plans and communicate financial obligations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with ICD-10/CPT coding
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance regulations
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) designation preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table expertise
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
