Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for 500+ patient accounts using Epic EHR systems
- Resolve complex insurance claim denials and rejections within 48-hour SLA
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure 99.5% charge accuracy and compliance with HIPAA
- Collaborate with collections team to maintain accounts receivable below 45 days
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and CPT/ICD-10 coding updates
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for executive leadership
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/ambulatory settings
- Expertise in Epic Resolute and Centricity EMR platforms
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials required
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance regulations
- Proven track record of reducing denial rates by 20%+
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Tableau
