Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and denials through meticulous analysis and follow-up
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately for optimal reimbursement
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics and KPIs
- Train and mentor junior billing staff on best practices and system usage
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR/RCM platforms
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Excellent communication abilities for patient and provider interactions
- Experience with RCM analytics tools and revenue cycle optimization
