Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and denials through strategic insurance follow-up
- Analyze aging reports and implement collection strategies to maintain optimal cash flow
- Ensure HIPAA and CMS compliance in all billing documentation and processes
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy and documentation requirements
- Train and mentor junior billing staff on best practices and system proficiency
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic or similar EHR billing modules
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proven track record of reducing claim denial rates by 20%+
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Strong communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with RCM analytics tools and revenue dashboards
