Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through strategic follow-up with insurance payers
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to CMS billing guidelines
- Analyze aging reports to identify bottlenecks and process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify accuracy of patient registration and coding
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
- Maintain 95%+ clean claim submission rate
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and Centricity billing platforms
- Deep understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proven track record in reducing A/R days by 20%+
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table proficiency
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities
