Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance denials with 95%+ accuracy
- Conduct monthly audits of billing codes (CPT/ICD-10) for compliance and optimization
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately for proper reimbursement
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expertise in Epic EMR/RCM systems and Clearinghouse operations
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials required
- Proven track record in reducing A/R days by 20%+
- Advanced knowledge of Illinois Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield policies
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and SQL
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions with attention to detail
