The Role:
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, acting as the gatekeeper for vendor relations and financial accuracy. You will play a key role in month-end close procedures and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, verification, coding, and payment execution.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Communicate proactively with vendors to address payment issues and maintain strong relationships.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing necessary schedules and reports.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) to maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Review and approve expense reports in compliance with company policy.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or Bookkeeping.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage experience preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) are required.
- Experience with ERP systems and automated AP workflows is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
