Responsibilities
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions with 99.9% accuracy
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies within 48 hours
- Implement process improvements using SAP and Oracle systems
- Coordinate with procurement team for 3-way matching protocols
- Manage month-end closing activities for AP sub-ledger
- Conduct audits for tax-exempt purchases across 15+ states
- Mentor 2 junior AP specialists on best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience in corporate environment
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Oracle financial modules
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Expert knowledge of Virginia sales tax regulations
- Proven experience managing high-volume processing (500+ invoices/month)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
